Jordan Morris  is the author of Out on a Limb (Abrams, 2022 illustrated by Charlie Mylie) and several forthcoming picture books with Candlewick, Holiday House (Neil Porter Books), Source Books (Stone Fruit Press), and Kids Can Press. Her debut as both author and illustrator, BALLy The Amazing Wonderball, is set to release with Kids Can Press in Fall 2025.

 

Jordan grew up in Texas, writing, drawing, making messes, and frequently forgetting her backpack. She credits many of her book ideas to her own childhood journals and the casually brilliant musings of her two young daughters.

 

Before beginning her picture book career, Jordan spent eight years with the creative team behind The Rabbit hOle, a one-of-a-kind  immersive museum dedicated to children’s literature. 

 

Jordan lives with her family in an old green house in Kansas City, Missouri.
